Beschreibung

After years of facing supervillains, monsters, and alien invaders intent on wiping out the human race, the world’s most famous superhero and comic books’ most famous journalist come face to face with one of their greatest challenges ever – being working parents in today’s society. Complicating the already daunting job of raising two boys, Clark and Lois are concerned with whether or not their sons Jonathan and Jordan could inherit their father’s Kryptonian superpowers as they grow older. Returning to Smallville, Clark and Lois are reacquainted with Clark’s first love, Lana Lang, and her husband Kyle. Of course, there’s never a dull moment in the life of a superhero, especially with Lois’ father, General Samuel Lane looking for Superman to vanquish a villain or save the day at a moment’s notice. Meanwhile, Superman and Lois’ return to idyllic Smallville is set to be upended when a mysterious stranger enters their lives.

    When Tyler Hoechlin was cast as Superman on Supergirl in 2016, it was meant to be a guest appearance. When Bitsie Tulloch was cast as Lois Lane for the Elseworlds crossover in 2018, it was meant to be a guest appearance. Same in the 2019 Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover. Thankfully, they saw the incredible chemistry they had in those few scenes, and decided to take their story to a whole new level. Clark/Superman and Lois move back to Smallville with their teenage sons (fraternal 14 y/o twins, and the show is a quality family drama (think Friday Night Lights or Everwood) with a superhero/action twist. The family dynamics are interesting, the brothers written with nuance and care, and Clark and Lois make for a wonderful team. On top of the great writing, the cinematography and special effects elevate the show's production value, and Dan Romer's excellent score accentuates scenes beautifully. All in all an exciting take on The Man of Steel and Lois Lane's story. Bonus: The show has already been renewed for a second season!

    Bis jetzt nur den Pilot gesehen, der macht aber Lust auf mehr. Interessante Figuren und die Idee aufs Land nach Smallville zu ziehen ist mal etwas neues.
